This is part of a series I'm doing where I collect the Hunter Medals in both Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 and 2. My goal is to find efficient methods of doing so, and to give other achievement hunters an idea of what to do.

No mic for this video. I didn't feel like talking over 2 hours of grinding.

This is the followup to my X8 playthrough. Here I finally get all the money required to buy everything in the shop for X, Zero, and Axl, as well as the Navigators. My grind spot is Earthrock Trilobyte's stage. After turning the robot around, I constantly shoot it with Axl's Ray Gun, making it drop Medals. I get between 6000 and 9000 metals per trip, which I believe to be quicker than just holding down a button and going akf.

You only need to buy the items in the tabs for X, Zero, and Axl. The shared tab isn't required, but quite a few items there are very beneficial, most notably Metal Discount.

Even though the description for Doin' It for Themselves says to use all three Navigators, I started a stage with only Alia after buying all three Navigators and the trophy popped.
