Omi Plays Castlevania Part 1
0Recorded on 11-25-23. Playing the original Castlevania for the NES. This game can be pretty difficult,especially since Simon tends to be drawn to any nearby pit he's close to. He also drops drops like a rock too,and overall is a little stiff to control. Armed with his legendary Vampire Killer Whip,Simon Belmont travels to Dracula's Castle,to do battle with the Count. We're taking on Levels 1,2,and 3 in this part. Level 1 isn't too bad,just be careful in the area where the Mermen pop out of the water. The Vampire Killer can be upgraded with items,to become a Chain Whip and have a longer reach. Sub-Weapons include Axes,Holy Water,Crosses,Daggers,and the Stop Watch. The Boss of Level 1 is the Phantom Bat,and Axe works really well against it. In Level 2,you'll start running into Knights,Bone Pillars,and the dreaded Medusa Heads. Every Castlevania player loves Medusa Heads. The Boss of Level 2 is Queen Medusa. Holy Water or Cross are effective against her. In Level 3,you'll start seeing Skeletons,Crows,and Fleamen. Fleamen are another dreaded Castlevania enemy,because they're fast and hop all over the place. The Boss of Level 3 is a pair of Mummy Men. They attack from both sides,and throw bandages at you.
