Omi Plays Castlevania Part 2
0Recorded on 11-25-23. Playing the original Castlevania for the NES. Armed with his legendary Vampire Killer Whip,Simon Belmont travels to Dracula's Castle,to do battle with the Count. We're doing Levels 4,5,and 6 in this part. After defeating the Mummy Men,Simon is dropped into the Castle's dungeon area. Watch for Bats and Mermen that pop out of the water,which also clip through walls in here. Once topside,you'll have to watch for Fleamen being dropped from above by birds. There's also a few Bone Dragons to defeat before reaching the Boss room. The Bosses this time are Frankenstein's Monster and Igor. This is normally a tough boss since Igor jumps around and fires fireballs at you,but we kept them stunlocked with Holy Water. Level 5 is the hardest stage in the game. More Fleamen here,and now the respawning Red Skeletons appear,as well as Axe Armors. They take a whopping 9 hits with the upgraded Whip! The hands down toughest room in the game is in this place,just before the Boss area. It contains 2 Axe Armors and tons of Medusa Heads! It's hell to get through. The Boss is also tough too,it's Death! Thankfully we had Holy Water to deal with him quickly,so we didn't have to worry about his many heat-seeking Scythes. Level 6 is the final stage,and while it is tough,it's also not terribly long. We reach the final stairs,leading to the final Boss: Count Dracula himself!
