Omi Plays Koudelka Part 1
0Recorded on 10-25-23. A horror RPG on the Playstation 1. It serves as a prequel to the Shadow Hearts series on PS2. This series is best known for it's screwed up monster and boss designs. This game features leveling up through combat,fixed camera angles,and managing a limited inventory of items. Taking place in 1898 near Wales,a psychic gypsy named Koudelka Issant has been drawn to the Nemeton Monastery. After infiltrating it,she discovers a wounded man nearby. His name is Edward Plunkett,an adventurer on the verge of death. She ends up defeating a nearby monster,then heals Edward fully.Once Edward joins,you can start getting into random encounters. Keep in mind any Weapons you find will break after so many uses,so leveling Edward's bare-handed skill is essential. The nearby rooms have a couple items to find,including a Monastery Map. Up ahead,Koudelka and Ed meet the owners of this place,Ogden and Bessy Hartman. They seem nice enough,but Koudelka is able to tell that the food they're given is poisoned! Good thing she can just cure Edward with her magic. There's something up with that couple for sure,especially considering the poison and their indifference to the monsters roaming around.
