This is part # of 3 of the opening story and gameplay of Omikron: The Nomad Soul on the Sega Dreamcast. This part shows off an action scene that mixes the FPS, and fighting game genre into this game. Granted, the FPS element is poorly played by me, because I forgot the controls, and even if I hadn't the controls are hard to get the hang of at first. This is the final vid I'm going to show, because I could go on for hours in this game if not stopped. It's a slow to start game, but from what I've played of it, it still manages to be engaging, even in the slow times.

This game is an interesting mix of adventure game with other genres thrown in for good measure. It's one that I have yet to complete, because if you quit playing for a while, then come back to it, it's extremely easy to forget what you had to do. I'll figure it out someday.

There are other similar (in some aspects) games to this out there. The most notably being on the DC itself with Shenmue. The developers of this game, Quantic Dream, later went on to develop Indigo Prophecy, and Heavy Rain.

Omikron is a unique experience with a great atmosphere that those with open minds should give a try.
