Omi's Video Game Vault: Mario Party 2
2Released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999 by Hudson Soft. Sequel to the original Mario Party,and pretty much superior to it's predecessor in every way possible. Added Battle Minigames,Duels,and Items that you can purchase at Shops or get from Minigames. The most important change? No more stick spinning minigames to give your hand a blister! The boards in this are really cool,having themes to them that also change your character's costume to match the board. Minigames are still fun,and the A.I. feels slightly less mean compared to the previous game too,but only a little. You also aren't punished by losing minigames by losing coins too. Overall,this is one of the definitive Mario party experiences. You'll still probably lose friends playing with others though. I'll be playing a full light play of 20 turns in Horror Land here.
