As mentioned before, Tokuchi allowed Johnson to steal home plate, which is what Tokuchi firstly gave up the run as pro. Then, Johnson was placed as left fielder. He showcased fine play, but he ran into the fence and made foul. Tokuchi discovered Johnson's weakness.
0:56
It's the 2nd pitch and Tokuchi hit to the left territory again. Although Johnson managed to catch the ball, he ran into the fence too.
The coach yelled at Tokuchi for why he swung. Tokuchi said that he woulda get struck out if he just stood and not swung. The coach ordered to just stand instead with reason that Ninomiya, the Bugaboos' pitcher, had unstable pitch, coulda walked Tokuchi.
1:46
Tokuchi asked Ideguchi to accompany him play catch, which is rare to Kojima. Tokuchi also asked Tomioka, the next batter, to tell him something. When Ideguchi threw the ball Tokuchi, Tokuchi missed, and then, while he tried to take the ball, he was looking at Johnson.
2:39
Ninomiya threw the second pitch, and Tomioka hit the ball. But again, the ball was heading to where Johnson is yet with not too much power. Tomioka ran because Tokuchi told him with funny threat.
Johnson ran while looking at the ball, and then, while Tokuchi was taking the ball, he said: WATCH OUT! And Johnson naturally looked at the fence, but this time, he couldn't catch it, and 'cause of that, Johnson let two runs happen! Now, Lycaons was in the lead. Some of Lycaons' players flabbergasted, including Kojima and Ideguchi :v .
3:49
The reason is: Johnson can't split his line of sight. Johnson was defending so far back for a reason, probably to cover up his weakness. The foul fly exposed it, and the next one was a very ordinary hit, but Johnson hit the fence again. Johnson's line of sight never leave the ball when he tried to catch, but he began to be cautious of the fence, and Tokuchi utilized that. In conclusion, Johnson's line of sight was off to one side.
6:13
Time for Johnson to bat, and the pitcher is Hasegawa. Hasegawa's first pitch was thrown, it resulted into ball. Then, Tokuchi asked for timeout. Lycaons' infielders gathered on pitcher's mound. We'll see what it was actually for.
Surprisingly, the 1st and 3rd baseman were drawn in. Now, Hasegawa threw the 2nd pitch, Johnson hit with bunt, and safe, he reached the 1st base, and 2nd base as well. Then, Hasegawa threw the 3rd pitch, but again, Johnson made it to the 3rd base. Great danger for Lycaons.
8:30
Tokuchi became pitcher, and the 3rd baseman, Fujita, was moving in to defend, but Johnson saw that and went back to 3rd base. Manager Shirooka thought that the tactic has decisive flaw. Later, Tokuchi deliberately made Bugaboos' batters walk twice, so bases are finally loaded. Now the next batter is the bunt master, Minamoto.
10:26
Lycaons' infielders were arguing. Keeping running away, or face the batter, either way, Manager Shirooka thought he'll win.
Now here's the anticipated 1st pitch, but surprisingly, the ball wasn't on Tokuchi's hand, but on Imai's instead! Manager Shirooka and the coach flabbergasted! I even laugh when seeing Imai swelled his tongue.
So the 2nd gathering was to give the ball to Imai, and then, Manager Shirooka remembered the 1st gathering. It wasn't a discussion of the shift in for preparation against Johnson's bunt, 'cause Tokuchi already predicted that Johnson will run to 3rd base and gave the ball to Imai. Looks like Tokuchi was the one cornered, but the ones cornered were Bugaboos instead.
12:46
Tokuchi gave Manager Shirooka some advice that made him cross. The game was again at stalemate. Now's the last inning with score 2-1. The lead-off batter from Bugaboos is Johnson, and the pitcher from Lycaons is Komori. Of course, Johnson was easily safe at 1st base. He was safe at 2nd and 3rd base as well. No outs and a runner on 3rd base, this happened 3 times. Then Fujita, the 3rd base, was drawn in again.
16:29
Johnson insulted Tokuchi, even called him gutless bastard. Tokuchi urged Johnson to duel. Well, Saikawa laughed so hard because he thought that Tokuchi had no chance in winning.
However, Tokuchi also justified what Johnson said. Lycaons have to battle against Johnson's speed, and now's the time. The game resumed. Kohinata posed for squeeze bunt. Surprisingly, Tokuchi threw the ball toward Kohinata's ankle! Then Ideguchi caught it, and managed to touch Johnson with the ball on his glove, making him out! It's the first time Johnson failed at stealing home! Later, the remaining two batters went 3 up and 3 down quickly, and Bugaboos can no longer comeback. Finally, Lycaons won the game, so it's 1-1.
19:04
Saikawa laughed but felt cross as well, 'cause he only could get 600 million yen, so 1.04 billion left.
Tomorrow will be the real battle between Lycaons and Bugaboos, or Gambler vs Strategist+Monster. So, are you ready for the deciding match? See in the next episode.
