Play Spotify Songs as your Alarm Tone

Create Shared Gallery Albums between you and your friends or family
As soon as you drop a photo in your gallery, it will start showing up in Galleries of others in your friend circle or family group. You just need to make sure they have a Samsung Account and you can just invite them to start sharing.

Share Large Files with Samsung Link

If you want to send a file or multiple files that are too big, you can just use Samsung Link. It’s available on all Samsung phones and you just have to select your files and tap on ‘Share Link’. It will automatically create a link to download all those files just like in the case of WeTransfer or Dropbox.

Share Large files with Quick Share or Nearby Share (if they are physically closer)

If you want to send a file or multiple files that are too big with people who are just around you, in proximity, you can use Quick Share. Quick share works flawlessly between two Samsung devices. The device that needs to send just selects the files or photos or videos and taps on share and clicks on ‘Quick Share’. On the receiving device, just go into quick settings panel and turn on Quick Share. The recipient phone will show up on the sending phone and you just need to tap once to make the connection. And large files will then transfer at super high speeds. It works without any internet connection or wifi network.

If you want to share with non-Samsung phones, you can use Nearby Share. Nearby share is pretty much the same as Quick Share but Android is slowly rolling this out to other manufacturers. For e.g. One Plus definitely has Nearby Share already working.

Schedule Backup of your Phone’s Data

In case your phone ever gets stolen or you want to setup your new phone, you can just restore all your last backed up data. Samsung phones can take backup of your phone every 24 hours.

Improve Battery Life by Manually Managing Apps

We tend to have a lot of apps that keep running in the background and sucking on battery. We don’t even know about it. Best is to manage them manually once and for all. You can decide what apps to be put to sleep temporarily or permanently.
Remap your Side Key to Launch Google Assistant

Samsung defaults the AI assistant to be Bixby and does not allow you to launch Google Assistant. You can change that!

Adapt Sound

Configure your phone for the most ideal sound for your ears. You can fine tune sound output from your phone depending on how sensitive your ears are and how your ears perceive sound.

Setup Auto Call Record

Samsung phones, depending on your country, have an in-built call recording feature.

Come out of DND mode automatically

You can schedule how long you want your phone to be in complete MUTE mode and your phone can automatically snap out of it and set itself to Ring mode. It’s called Temporary Mute.

There are more One UI settings you can change now and I will talk more about them in my next video. So stay tuned, stay subscribed!
