My full unboxing and hands-on review with the OP8 and its bigger brother have already shown off the specifications and taken a look at the OxygenOS software. But if you're struggling to choose between the two 2020 handsets, here's a comparison to show what the difference is. While the standard OnePlus 8 will suit most users just fine, the Pro is more for tech enthusiasts who demand the very best specs and camera action.
Starting with the optics, you get a fresher Sony IMX 689 sensor on the OP8 Pro, plus a telephoto lens and new chromatic shooter. That premium model also boasts a 120Hz display with smoothing tech, plus IP68 design and 30W wireless battery charging.
Still, the original OnePlus 8 serves up the same speedy Snapdragon 865 chipset (albeit without the DDR5 RAM), UFS 3.0 storage, gorgeous glass finish and camera features.
