We all know the big video game franchises. Assassins Creed, Call of Duty, Madden, etc. etc. Giant blockbuster titles with enormous budgets. These are the bread and butter of the game industry or at least of the big three, Activision, EA and of course Ubisoft. Unfortunately these mega titles always seem to lack innovation and character being "designed by committee" as Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation fame puts it. Their limited innovation is due to both the short development window and an attempt to keep the series familiar to buyers of the previous iterations.
