OpenBVE Wacky - NJT ALP-46 and 6 Car Comet Is on the Old M Train
2NJT (New Jeresy Transit) ALP-46 and 6 car Comet Is (push mode) on the Old M train.
Due to construction, the M was rerouted via the express track on Nassau Street. The Broad Street terminal takes the M train back to the old days when it had the brown Nassau Street color, as it used to go there.
In real life, the Nassau Street El gets pretty crowded especially on weekday rush hours, so the Comets would be helpful in assuring that almost everyone gets a seat.
The old M train and the Comet Is have something in common, which is their retirement dates. The old brown M train was retired by 2009, being recolored into an orange color which represents the 6th Avenue Line, and the Comet Is were also retired by 2009, being replaced by the Comet Vs, with most being scrapped while many others were sold off to private railroads and museums. The ALP-46 was already in service by 2002.
The M train was introduced in 1961, and the Comet Is were introduced in 1970 (originally as a "Slider" since it's doors could only operate on low platforms). This is the since then rebuilt 1987 version.
