Since decomps and recomps are all the rage as of late, openGOAL seems to be another one of those which I actually can test fairly easy, thanks to an easy obtainable copy of Jak & Daxter 1 for PS2.;

I spend a few bucks and set up the whole thing on my desktop machine.

Works fine for me but it really screams 2000's gameplay and mechanics :,D
