OpenRails - Yorkshire Coast Railway Class 105 Simple Cravens To Whitby (MSTS)
3In this weeks Open Rails video we return to the Yorkshire Coast Railway Route for Microsoft Train Simulator by UKTrainSim which was briefly featured in our Class 24s & 25s in yorkshire video found below...

This video see's us taking a Class 105 "Cravens" DMU from Rillington to Whitby Town via the North Yorkshire Moors Railway on the Cravens To Whitby Activity, Overall the Yorkshire Coast Railway route can be seen as average and is not the best in the means of detail, The route is set in the 1950s/60s although it does contain an odd array of rolling stock some of which are from around the 1970s/1980s era which can be seen as inaccurate for the period modelled. Key locations can be seen modelled quite nicely this includes Pickering, Sleights and Ruswarp however others can be seen as either rushed or incomplete.
I think this route stands today as a WIP and was never truly completed it has great potential but is let down by the lack of scenery in areas and rather generic sounds for some of the locomotives and rolling stock, This is MSTS and we are aware of the age of the content being shown but even for its age there are other addons out there for MSTS which can be seen as being a little more advanced in detail then this one.
With MSTS no longer being playable on windows, anyone wanting to play this old retro simulator shall have to download OpenRails which is basically a remastered/revisited version of this classic game making it compatible to run on modern day computers. It can be downloaded from the link below, it is recommended to have a copy of Microsoft Train Simulator installed to your computer for this game.
