The Pentagon announced today that Operation Silver Fang has been completed on the Island of Trinity off the coast of southeastern Africa. The United States Marine Corps 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit had deployed to the island in response to a UN mandate. While the Marines accomplished thair goals of pacifying the military ran by General Montgomery and killing or capturing the renegade General Sadur, things did not go smoothly. General Sadur had been the subject of a massive effort by the military for the entire summer. He was eventually killed on the Island of Trinity by Force Recon Elements of the 3rd Platoon Force Recon Company attached to the 15th MEU. Public opinion on the operation remains
mixed as result of the large amount of casualties taken by the 15th MEU. 179 Marines were killed in the operation and 595 Marines were wounded during Operation Silver Fang and a large amount of equipment was destroyed in operations. These casualties caused problems for the administration within their own party and reduced the usual backing of military operations by the Republican's in the Congress. The 15th MEU, having concluded its deployment time for this year, has been withdrawn back to the United States for rest, refitting, and continued training. It is scheduled to resume deployment at the beginning of Summer 2014.
Special note: Maj Conrad stops being Omega halfway through the mission because he is shot down doing a suicidal rocket run on the enemy artillery positions with 1stLt Tred. His sacrifice silenced the enemy arty and made the completion of the mission possible.

A: US Army 99-06, Radio Operator(25C). Non-Combat Veteran.
Q: Is that AI or real people?
A: If it's Wasteland or DayZ, it's real people. If it's an ArmA Mission it's AI unless I very specifically state otherwise. The 15th doesn't PvP.
Q: What ArmA mods do you use?
A: For ArmA 2 - ACE/ACRE are the core. Others include: DFS 3rd Person, Instantviewdistance, SMK Animations Lite, ST_Collision and ST_Evasive, and Blastcore WarFX. For sound: Vanilla mixed with JSRS.
For ArmA 3 - Will change often as mods are released.
