Generally, I'm fine with hard mode tricks being required as well as random dungeons and portals, but there is one trick that I have the hardest time with for seemingly no reason: poe skip. Poe skip is a trick in dungeon 7 where you navigate a set of rollers and spikes in order to enter a staircase before all 4 torches go out and you get sent back to the entrance. Needless to say, it was required in this run and I had "fun" with it.

Dungeon randomizer basically means that dungeons entrances are shuffled amongst each other. For example, dungeon 1 could be in its normal spot or it could be located in any of the other dungeon locations. The randomizer logic accounts for the new dungeon locations and can lead to some very interesting routing opportunities as you can reach some dungeons without the normal requirements (e.g. dungeon 7 without the pirate's bell).

Portal randomizer shuffles the subrosia portals amongst each other. The most significant thing that gets affected is access to dungeon 8 since it is located in subrosia in an area only accessed by a single portal. The shuffled portals can also allow for some interesting routing options as well as access to new areas more easily than if the portals were normal.

For those unfamiliar with Oracles randomizer, it is an item randomizer where items in chests are shuffled amongst each other. This leads to a different outcome each time you play and helps to make a fresh experience each time. There are a few notable exceptions to what is randomized however:

- As of version 3.5.0, small keys, boss keys, and maps/compasses are randomized only within their own dungeon
- Some items given from NPCs may not be randomized (mostly if the rewards are normally gasha seeds)
- Freestanding heart pieces and gasha seeds in the overworld are not randomized
