Ore to Shore 2022 (Vlog)
336A friend in Chicago convinced Emily and I to come up to the U P for Ore to Shore, which ended up being a blast of a weekend. Ore to shore is a point to point MTB race that takes place just outside of Marquette Michigan. The iron ore rich soil gives it the name and the red stains in your kit after the race. A good portion of the course takes place on private property and is only open for this race, once a year. With that said it has a unique vibe and feel.
Unfortunately, I forgot my GoPro at the house and didn't end up getting race footage, which was a bummer because I ended up winning!
We had wet weather all day and the trails, roads, and rocks were slick. I thought the race would break up but a group of 10 or so came to the line together.
Stoked on the win and my time in Michigan. What a rad place.
