Today we're unboxing the Ortz Xbox One AC Power Adapter. Why are we unboxing a power adapter? Because you can't turn the Xbox on without it! A replacement power adapter is good to have if your original breaks, you want a backup, or maybe you move your Xbox to another room in you home frequently. Opening up the Ortz adapter we can see that it's carefully placed in bubble wrap and doesn't have any unnecessary extras in the box, keeping it simple with just the adapter. It's a big brick with one ended that has a proprietary connection for the back of the Xbox and then a standard power cable. It's only compatible with the Xbox One so you can't use it with the 360 or even the original xbox.
Let's compare it to the original Microsoft brand adapter. They are almost identical with the exception of not having the Xbox logo. Same size, shape, and connections. In my experience, I didn't run into any issues powering my Xbox. The biggest advantage of this adapter is that it's very affordable currently retailing at $29.99. It's also just very easy to order on Amazon, the official Xbox One adapter is much harder to find. I could only find it on third party sellers. So if you need a replacement or an extra adapter for your Xbox One, I can highly recommend you pick up this Ortz brand adapter because Ortz makes very affordable and reliable console accessories.
