Out Zone is a run and gun arcade video game developed by Toaplan and published in Japan by Tecmo, North America by Romstar and Europe in August 1990.

Story: In an advanced space era, humanity of planet Earth encountered, traded and formed alliances with many other alien planets to ensure security. In the past humanity had been subject to many invasion from hostile outside forces, but the alliances Earth forged granted victories many times. However, in the year 2095, Earth had been subjected to new invasion launched by alien military from Planet Owagira with overwhelmingly powerful and sophisticated weaponry than anything Earth's alliance can counter. With the threat of annihilation looming over, Earth's UN receives a message from the alien elder from the alliance: at the remote region of Milky Way Galaxy, there exists an ultra-elite mercenary unit named "Out Zone". Known by other alien alliance as "Space Entrepreneur", Out Zone takes sides with no one and is willing to fight any wars for the proper price. Out Zone's reputation for their fighting skills is renowned to other alliance. UN, in desperation and as a last-ditch effort to rid of Owagira Military, requests Out Zone's service. UN guarantees Out Zone the Earth's entire budget as payment.

With the negotiation complete, two very powerful cyborg warriors belonging to Out Zone volunteer for the mission to fight for Earth. These two warriors have ties to planet Earth and, realizing that their homeworld is in great peril, rise up to save it from doom and resolve to destroy Owagira Forces.
