(outdated) 7 Days to Die - Alpha 17 experimental - Barbed Wire (not Barbed Wire fence) Pathing test.
In my main game I have shown my horde maze base in a previous video, in an attempt to slow the Zs down as they path through it I put up barbed wire, at which time they STOPPED pathing the maze, so after that horde night was over I popped over to my creative map to test the barbed wire, and confirmed it counts as an obstruction for the pathing. Tested with spikes in the "Long Way" too, they still walked that way.
Note I am pretty sure the barbed wire fence is not an obstruction as the AI makes no attempt to avoid it if you just drop it down between you and a Z the Z will walk straight to it. But that means in mazes you have to choose, Barbed wire fence, or spike traps. As barbed wire fences do not provide structural support so they can't be under the spikes, and if they are on top of the spikes they would be destroyed when the spikes failed.
