Hey guys, welcome back for Part 5 of Let's Play Montezuma's Return! Today, we explore the 5th level of the game; Monkey Madness. Monkey Madness is honestly one of the harder levels in the game because of some of the unforgiving rooms that you'll encounter as you progress throughout the level. What do I mean by "unforgiving"? I mean that there are many rooms within that have lava pits at the bottom and do not give you the luxury of climbing back out with a rope. Also, in those same rooms there are treasures that you have to try to earn by precisely and nerve-crushingly navigating thin beams and jumping along them to get and earn the treasures. I tell you, the level is one of the least forgiving in this game.
Also another point that makes the level stupid is the boss, Taylorm. Taylorm constantly spams his stupid ground-pound attack, causing you to fly up to the top of the room and smash your head, dazing you. While dazed, he can rinse and basically repeat the ground-pound slam as many times as he wants to and if you're not aware of the sandy area where you entered the room, (Forget it's there or are even too far away to safely reach it.) you're basically doomed.
There ya go. Enjoy, because as this was the cleanest run through of the level I ever captured or got, I'm pretty proud of it. I'm also proud I've 100% ranked each of the bonus rounds so far. Here's to more!
