So. This is State of War, a RTS by Cypron Studios (Cypronia), released in 2001, more accurately, this is its datadisk, Warmonger, released in 2003.

When i was a little kid, I played this game on my first PC, a Windows 98, 64 mb RAM, Pentium 2, great stuff. The game was....challenging, though I managed to beat it without cheats, because....there are no cheats. There are some in the original, they don't work with the datadisk.

Now it's 2017, I'm not a kid anymore, and it was a great time to come back to this game. And I thought "Hey. I kinda did get gud in this game. Why not make a speedrun." So here it is.

I think this game looks amazing for 2001/3, I have played other RTS games before, KKnD 1 and 2, Age of Empires 2, Warcraft 2, this outclasses all of them in terms of graphics. At least in my book.

The gameplay is very simple. You have your advancer (the UFO), it can capture buildings, repair them, and upgrade them. You cannot destroy buildings in this game, only capture them. Though you CAN destroy turrets (and have to).
You have gold mines that give you credits for turrets, the research labs give you research points, that you can spend to upgrade the units in the factory, factories produce automatically and it costs nothing, and there are, later in the game, strong robots and radars that give you air forces like bombers and transporters.

And you might think I am only scratching the surface, nah, that's it. This is a really easy game to get into. But hard to master, with the strats and all that. I love this game.
