Lament with me my brothers and sisters. My Xbox 360 controller has died. So now I'm using my PS3 controller for my PC games.

Now while Windows will recognize it as a game controller, it won't work out of the box for any games. So you need a way to make it emulate another controller. This is where Motioninjoy comes in. This software captures the signals from the controller and converts them into the button presses of the controller it emulates.

I'm not paid by Motioninjoy to say this but it's the only way to make a PS3 controller work with almost any game that supports a controller input one way or another. If you have a PS3 controller and you want to use it for your PC games, download it here ▼

You need at least version 0.7.1001 for the greatest reliability. Also it supports bluetooth giving you wireless play, but you need to install the USB drivers first, similar to registering the controller to your PS3 system for the first time.

Once you have the drivers installed and the controller registered to your PC, it's not essential but it's highly recommended to also download Better DS3. This software can automap the buttons to emulate the Xbox 360 pad and give you better configuration options than what Motioninjoy can provide.
