I happen to have a HUGE fascination with vintage synthesizers, especially ones from the 80’s. And while playing the arcade classic “OutRun”, one thing I noticed was that the piano sound heard in the game over theme “Last Wave” bears an uncanny resemblance to the Yamaha DX7’s iconic “E. Piano” patch. Since I don’t have an actual DX7 (though I wish to someday), I decided to try out DEXED, a free VST that emulates the DX7. And with this, I was able to create a more high-fidelity version of the song using that iconic sound. I hope you enjoy!
