anyway let’s talk about wind waker. love this game. what a cute game. i don’t finish a lot of zelda games, and i didn’t finish this one either bc i was young and got stuck BUT i got pretty close and that says something tbh. the artstyle and tone of the game rly click with me, and the music is just so pretty and cute, and toon link is so precious…….………………

i wasn’t planning on remixing outset (wanted to do the main theme tbh but it’s way too complicated to adapt) but figured out a fun way to approach it. i have never made a remix like this. it’s very slow and comfortable. i think the genre is r&b? or something like it? anyway, i’m always a little self-conscious of how busy a lot of my music is, so i wanted to make something chill for a change. i’d love to be able to incorporate this sort of slower style into my usual work overtime. it was a lot of fun to do, i had to think a little differently when doing the early conceptual stuff. i don’t think i’ve once in my life used an acoustic guitar as a lead looool. amazing. i’m really happy with this tho. ohhh also i think i understand multi band compression a little better now bc i got off my ass and looked up some stuff on it & i think my mastering this time was pretty good alright alright alright i'm levelling up!!!!!!!!!feels nice
