3this is one of those "if you know the rules, you can break them" situations. it's almost always advisable to stay in the lair when defending a banish or once you have the bounty. but, sometimes when a standard approach is so obvious, doing something contrary to conventional wisdom can throw off your opponent.
this is a particularly good lair to demonstrate this, as it is ringed by a narrow porch which provides good cover. and the lair itself is very small and vulnerable to bombs, which makes it less safe to defend inside.
a major factor is also whether you detect or anticipate a multi-team pileup. sometimes you can sneak out during a pileup and rotate far from the lair. if you are facing a single team, stay close to the lair so that you can abort and reenter the lair if needed.
