We absolutely reject the concept of negative attachment to the sensory passions being due to the influences of demonic spirits, etc. We also reject the concept of avoiding punishments, avoiding wrath, avoiding angering a divinity as a reason for detachment from passions. We reject the concepts of self-mortification, extreme self-denial, and extreme asceticism as life is very much meant to be enjoyed. We take the perspective of modern science and the eastern spiritual traditions, a very large camp, seeing a great coherence among the Buddhist Dharmic Teachings, The Eternal Way of Santana Dharma, and the elements of Shinto Kami-No-Michi 神の道 as practice. Eastern Dialectics understands coherence and necessity of Spiritual Approaches, The Atheistic Schools, Science and Reason. Eastern Dialectics rejects the binary logic reasoning: Cat Is Dead. Cat Is Alive. Atheist or Religious, etc and so forth. Many Athesitic Schools exist within Dharmic Tradition. The Atheistic Schools serve a very very necessary counter point across both the ancient and modern epochs but Atheism is also not the whole picture within the broader synthesis. Consider Atheism and Theism within the context of indulgence and self-denial: neither represents whole picture. To understand the vital importance of the historic Atheistic Schools and the Theistic Schools one must first understand the essential non-binary nature of Eastern Dialectics, Ethics, and Philosophy.
