Overwatch: Doomfist's Unlockable Voice Lines in Every Language
30Welcome to my 24th Overwatch video where I check out how almost every character sounds in every available language.
This time, I focus on the second, Nigerian-borne character. A promising man with promising goal in technology and finance, as well as a love for martial arts, his wealthy and intelligent life turned for the worse after losing his right arm to the Omnic Crisis. He later on gained the Doomfist gauntlet after killing its previous wielder, his teacher, for it. He was then hired by Talon, and then used both his knowledge and power to rise up in the crime organization into being one of its top leaders. He now seeks to use this power to apply Natural Selection to the entire world.
Presenting, Overwatch's very first post-release male character and post-release villain... Akande Ogundimu: Doomfist III.

Some things to note:
1. The text of the Voice Line in English does not necessarily match what the character says in a different language. For example, Tracer's "You Need A Time Out" line in Polish has her singing, instead, which does not exist in any other language option.
2. My laptop isn't top notch. There will be times where I have to run over the same Voice Line again because it didn't load and play out the first time around.
3. English will always be the first language of the video as a reference point. I will make the 2nd and potentially the 3rd language the one or ones that closely matches the hero's own ethnicity if their language is in the game. So I can't apply this to everyone, mainly with characters who would likely have English as the first language in Real Life.
4. Some characters will speak a different language regardless of whatever spoken language the game is currently set on, including the standard English, though this doesn't apply to every language in the exact same frequency. You can mostly hear this with Widowmaker's French and Genji's Japanese. In fact, Widowmaker's English and French voice actresses are one in the same, as are Mei's English and Simplified Chinese. However, Genji's are not, so he will speak some Japanese with his English voice and some of his other voices, but only Japanese with his completely different Japanese voice. You follow me, correctly?
5. There are extremely rare occasions when a Voice Line may not be dubbed into a different language at all. When this happens, it is almost always when a character's English Voice Line has them say it in a different language, anyway. So these instances in alternate audio will just default to the regular English version of the Voice Line which, again, will still be the English VA saying something in a different language.
6. I planned this playlist at different points. Every non-Bastion character that was on the game at its release were all recorded together, Ana was recorded during the passed Summer Games event, Sombra was planned when she was released in the BlizzCon 2016-based PTR update, Orisa was planned sometime after she was released in her own dedicated PTR update, and Doomfist for the same as Orisa.

Unfortunately, this means that, no, Terry Crews did NOT voice Doomfist at all. But both of them have benefited from this free publicity, and now there's a chance that Crews may still appear in the game in a different fashion. Who knows?
I might have to make a 2nd version of this once the game's Main Menu stops using Numbani's airport for the background. It gives everyone an echo to their voices.

Doomfist is still only in the PTR for PC players, but be patient! Consoles and live PC will be able to get him soon enough!
