Really quick video demonstrating a tech with Reaper that I discovered, possibly first, haha. Not that there's a whole lot of competition to find Reaper tech. :^)

So, what's happening here? I'm Shadow Stepping right up to a target, and holding down left click (primary fire) and shift (Wraith Form) during the teleport animation. This causes you to appear, fire one shot and instantly go into Wraith Form to escape.

So what is this useful for? The main point of this tech is to finish off an enemy who is very close to death and just managed to back behind a Reinhardt shield, or to their team in general, without putting yourself at much risk (new Shadow Step into Wraith only leaves you vulnerable for 0.175 seconds, and the primary fire in between adds 0 to that time). You can also engage a sniper with it, especially Widowmaker, by getting in their face and pretty much ensuring they miss their first shot and you hit yours, for a pretty easy 1v1 win.

For some higher-level meta play, you can also use this tech while teleporting to an obvious position, where the object is not to kill any hero, but to get those bio-nades, Flashbangs, etc. used up unsuccessfully (because even high-level players are not going to thread the needle of a 0.175 second window of opportunity perfectly with anything resembling consistency), right before your team engages theirs (requires a bit of coordination to really take advantage of you 'eating' cooldowns this way.

You can also forego the Wraith portion of this cancel if it's not necessary. For example, if that hero you want to finish off isn't surrounded by danger? Just hold down primary fire only, for the instant shot, then continue on normally. This 'variant' can also be a sneaky way to yoink a point or two in Deathmatch. :^)
