Hi Guys and welcome to my tutorial on how to make Oxygen in the game Oxygen Not Included.

Hi Guys Today we are going to look at how to make oxygen in Oxygen not included which as the title suggests is one of the most important parts of the game. If you enjoy this video please hit that thumbs up button and subscribe to the channel but for now however, lets get down to it.
There are 2 main ways to make oxygen in Oxygen not included and these both use up valuable resources. One of the methods will use Algae and the other Water. Both of these will also require electricity. The method that will be available to you in the early game without having to do any research first will be Algae.
To start generating oxygen you will first need to collect some Algae so find it around your base, Its a solid green color and send your duplicants to dig it out. Once you have some you will want to build an Algae Deoxydizer which can be found under the oxygen tab in your crafting menu. You will then need to build a manual power generator to power it which can be found in the power tab. This is all you need to actually get it working but I highly recommend that you build a battery too as otherwise the Deoxyidizer will only run whilst you have a dupe actually running in the wheel. Once you have it all in place connect them with wires and your supes shoud start delivering algae to it which will start producing you lovely breathable oxygen.
The algae supplies available will be limited and a more sustainable form of oxygen generation is from water. This will require an electrolysis and water pump etc and is more of a mid game solution. It also pumps out hydrogen which can flood your base if not dealt with so I have a full guide about how to build an electrolyser setup coming soon.
The most important thing is to remember to keep researching so that that option is available to you when you inevitably run out of algae.
Just as a quick not i did not want to end the video without mentioning Algae Terrariums. They eat up carbon dioxide and produce a small amount of oxygen. They do use up algae and quite a bit of water though and in my opinion are best avoided if possible. I will cover this in an upcoming guide on dealing with carbon dioxide.
