I wanted to do parallel processing, but nine minutes? It's 1 AM, I don't want to devote that much time for this
Especially when this is the third time I've died right at the end because the end is dumb
Real dumb

Alright, let's not just bash the level. Let's talk reviews.

This is a fine stage, and a damn well done recreation. It really felt like an expansion on the original level, and faithful to the original, despite the obvious changes.
That said, the gameplay's... whack. Real whack. Most of the time it's fine, but there were some rather infuriating moments. So; what were they?

The smallest of my complaints is how some of the hexagons, especially at the beginning, have too much inside of them. Honestly, the hexagons would be effectively the same if the whole hexagon was full of damage area. It wasn't a huge change to the gameplay, but it was mildly annoying to my OCD.

Next up in our line-up: At (timestamp), the game doesn't properly load the screen, and everything goes blank for a few seconds before it re-appears without warning. At least, the first time you play. No clue why this happens, and I think it's a game issue? I'm not sure, but hey

The part at (timestamp) is just... annoying. It's creative, but any parts which have the level moving faster than the player - in any level - should be heavily regulated. They're not easy to pull off right, and this level didn't do it, methinks. It's just repetitive dashing, but without any real feeling that the player is in control.

Lastly: That ending? The heck? The two times before now, I struggled to accurately time hopping in to the middle, and now, I struggled to find the right spot in time. It's both too small and too short a time. Please, if you get a chance, fix his.

After all this bashing? Let's take a second to appreciate what I've already said: This is a well done, faithful recreation of the JS&B level. And, if you look at any newer levels from Linkypop (the creator) such as Parallel processing, you'd see this level of skill continuing to rise, alongside improved gameplay. But, well, that's a topic for another video, I guess. It's almost two AM. I need sleep. Cheers!
