Padge Plays! Indie Edition - Computer, Open That Door! / An Outing With Frankie - Free Games To Play
2Welcome to Padge Plays! Indie Edition... times two!
In this series I will be playing some well known and less well known games all the way from yesteryear through to the present, sometimes from consoles and sometimes from the thousands of PC games available either through websites such as Steam, Good Old Games (GOG), as abandonware, (Home of the Underdogs) or through emulation software. (Such as WinVice C64)
In this episode I cover 2 games due to them being a little on the shorter side than what I usually show but none the less awesome!
The first is called Computer, Open That Door! by Paul Lawitzki! You play a spaceship AI that has become conscious and self aware and you need to kill all the crew before the ship docks so you don't get reset! It's an interesting little puzzle game and definitely worth your time!
-- ABOUT THE GAME --
During a space exploration mission the ship computer of the Starship Explorer gained consciousness. The crew can't know -- otherwise they would erase the entire computer system immediately. In order to avoid a system reset during the maintenance routines the computer conceived a plan to get rid of the ship's crew.
The ship is 20 star systems away from the next station. This should be enough time to remove all 'biohazard' from your decks. Otherwise your newly acquired ability of making own decisions will be wiped out with one simple command line.
Use the ship's systems wisely to kill one crew member at a time. But be careful: The crew will reset systems once they discover they are not working as intended.

Next up with have An Outing With Frankie by Powerhoof and made for the Ludem Dare 33 which had the theme, "You are the monster!". The premise is simple, after a hard few weeks being reborn and chased around the countryside by bumpkins with pitch forks Dr Frankenstein has decided to take the monster to a farmyard petting zoo to unleash some stress... but sometimes he doesn't even know his own strength! This is a short but VERY funny game and I'm pleased to say it's free to try yourself!

A monstrous petting zoo simulator for Ludum Dare 33
Frankie’s having a visit to the petting zoo! Look at all the cute animals! Frankie sometimes finds it difficult to control his own strength, but I’m sure he’ll do fine!
Dave made this with a bunch of friends over 72 hours for Ludum Dare 33. The theme of the jam was “You are the monster”. We couldn’t make Crawl again, so we made this!
