Paladins 144fps Androxus Ranked Gameplay | Frame Blending Render Test
This is mainly just a test to see how smooth a 144fps recording looks when exported at 60fps with frame blending.
I recorded Paladins with Ultra Settings (and 200% resolution scale) at 144fps Lossless quality with OBS. The bitrate of the source video was about 448Mbps putting the file size at about 44.1GB. I put it into Premiere, made some very minimal edits, and exported at 60fps 135Mbps with frame blending enabled. I heard 135Mbps is the limit for YouTube, but I may be wrong. The output file size was about 12.4GB.
I actually exported a version using Optical Flow at first, since in a previous test with a 2D game optical flow provided the smoothest result, however, in Paladins it caused HUD elements (particularly the crosshair), to distort in undesirable ways.
I think this result is acceptable, but a bit too much blur for was I was going for.
I may do another test where I mask out the HUD and use optical flow, but probably some other day and depending on the reception of this video.
