Pantheon Rise of the Fallen April 2022 State of the Game Update and News: Today we are going to be talking about our upcoming MMO Home and how they have shown us two massive areas in their April 2022 State of the Game Update. Both of these areas are still in what they refer to as mid-development, so they are missing the foliage and some finer detail, but in their current state, with just a tiny bit of imagination, you can see just how awesome they are, from the ascent up the Daedrym and it's dungeon at the top to the VERY Kelethin inspired tree top city of Sorhiyth, there is a lot to get excited about and the community was very enthusiastic not only because Sorhiyth is so remnicent of a favorite classic MMO, EverQuest, but also because we are seeing new areas getting developed very fast, just as we had hoped would happen after the conversion to HDRP. Alright let's dive in and start out with Daedrym Ascent..
A brand new area shown off called Daedrym Ascent, it is in Wild's End. It is an angular, steep area rising up from the Wild's End area, the climb up can have multiple ways to attempt, but regardless of what creative way you try, there are dangers, from the creatures you will have to battle to the talon blade as well, a dragon tore it asunder long ago, and unleashed it's curse. There are many mysteries promised that players must uncover through discovery and exploration and undoubtedly through some perception pings and quests as well. So this is a dragon inspired area that is very ominous and foreboding. You are looking at some mid-development progress, so you still have to use your imagination when seeing this and as we've seen other areas from early to end, much more detail will be added.
The scale and scope of the place is what really stands out, and the excitement of knowing there will be multiple ways to get to it's peak and then knowing that once you get up there, you will find a dungeon, and I have to say the thing about a lot of these areas is that this entire area is kind of a dungeon right? So there is this outdoor area of ascending to the top of Daedrym Ascent and then there will be an interior dungeon. And looking at the inside, seeing the dragon skull on the back, and the cool engravings on the wall. Many are speculating that this place will likely deal with Dragon Cultists which I agree wiht, there are pyres for worship, and I believe there will be a fearsome dragon awaiting players deep in it's depths.
And I don't know about you, you will have to let me know in the comments down below for your opinion, but this place is looking like a place I want to dive into, I want to explore it and learn it's secrets.
Now, we have to look at Sorhiryth, the Pantheon Rise of the Fallen version of Kelethin basically, and it absolutely floored me, the nostalgia, the beauty and the detail is just incredible and really has me now knowing that I will absolutely have to create a halfling just to run around and enjoy this place in all it's splendor.
All in all, Wild's End is looking like such an incredible, giant place packed with content. If you remember back, there was a time Joppa was talking about how players will be saturated with choice on where to go for adventure, and as we are seeing all of these places and dungeons emerge, it is starting to become obvious that he was absolutely right, because these aren't just instanced wham, bam and done locations, they are deep and huge and expansive places with content ripe for a lot of levels. Could a player level to max by staying just in Wild's End? It's beginning to look so and this is just the Halfling starting area, there will still be many, many, many other areas for all the other starting races and not to mention the areas in between. Pantheon Rise of the Fallen will be the ultimate exploration MMORPG in my opinion and the most replayable and enjoyable experience that honestly only a couple of MMOs in the past have ever matched. And it is THESE types of things that makes Pantheon feel like a throwback love scenario for people who enjoyed EverQuest or Final Fantasy XI, its the choices, the massive dungeons, and the difficulty that makes every visit to a familiar place full of new experiences and adventure. And that's what I'm here for.
With the word on the Networking development going well, I do believe that a new testing phase is .. Dare I say it.. Imminent, so grab up your Pre-Alpha pledge on their website:
