Pantheon VS Ashes - It's Not What You Say, It's What You Show
27I was watching Amongold's coverage of the Josh Strife Hayes "controversy" behind Ashes of Creation when he confused it with Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, and it sparked a very interesting conversation at this point in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDvAORt6eh8&t=1596s
"Itβs not based off what is said, itβs based on what is seen." This quote from Asmongold is extremely accurate, as you can't ask people to get hyped over a vision alone: you need something visual to attach to it.
On the one hand you have Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, asking it's people to trust in a vision and never showing anything more than wire frames and concept art. And then you have Ashes of Creation showing amazing visuals, VFX, and actual combat + questing. It's not what you say, it's what you show.
