Paprium is a homebrew beat 'em up video game developed and published by indie studio WaterMelon for the Sega Mega Drive. The game is WaterMelon's first game since Pier Solar and the Great Architects. Paprium was announced by WaterMelon as part of a crowdfunding campaign directly on their "Magical Game Factory" website in 2012, with initial development
beginning around 2013/2014.

Paprium underwent an eight-year development cycle before its release, during which WaterMelon and any individual developers had little to no press or information about the game's development. Because of this, the game was considered cancelled until the game's first shipments in late 2020.
