Para Bellum Games- Finally getting to the Nords' Stalkers!
78Been a long while (even longer since I filmed this, as I've painted a fair amount of the grey plastic and resin shown here in the video) but I finally got around to popping open a box of Stalkers for the Nords.
They feel a bit of a swing and a miss for me, at least design- wise. I'd rather they have gone more with either the feral animal look or the more rugged woodsmen style rather than a strange mashup of both.
I guess I've been a bit spoiled with the plastic releases since these came out. With the Old Dominion right around the corner too (literally- my boxes arrive the day after I posted this) I'm curious to see if we'll get alternate or updated sprues of some of the original plastics. They aren't bad per say, but there's definitely room for improvement- which we've certainly seen in kits like the longbowmen and the various W'adrhun sets. They definitely fill a niche within a Nords army, but I still think I prefer the Nordic Ninja look (and stats) of the Bowchosen.
