- Run the EGS installer and then install BF2 using EGS
If you encounter issues with a crashing Origin client try this:
- Install EGS and then install BF2 using it
- After you've finished downloading and installing close EGS and Origin
- Alter the Lutris launch options to run Origin first instead of EGS
- Run Origin and then launch BF2 from Origin
- This will open up EGS where you then need to launch BF2 once again.
- The EGS might flicker due to missing launch options to make in render properly
- EGS will then issuing Origin to start the game and the Origin client will not crash or quit as like before
