Patchwork Review — 2 Player with the imaginary wife
We review of the most popular 2 player games, Patchwork! This abstract BGG top 200 game has been recommended so extensively as a couples game that it has even become somewhat of. A meme, hence the wife jokes. We hear at Shelfside delve into it to see if the recommendations check out, and to see how accessible of a game it is. Uwe Rosenberg’s Patchwork is a 30 minute quilt making game, where players use Tetris-looking pieces to assemble their quilts, spending and accumulating buttons, and trying to not have any holes come end game. It actually has a fair bit of economic elements, with the rondel purchasing and scaling button economy. So, what the heck is keeping this game from everyone’s 2 player collection, besides the lightness?
