OVERVIEW:
- Leap slam into packs and use Blade Flurry to destroy enemies in a split second.
- Decent map clear.
- INSANE DPS! Melt all bosses, all content!
Offense: Abyssus. Our swords (should have hits cant be evaded), passive tree choices, jewels and some flat phys on gear easily scale our damage. We are a pure phys brutality build that utilizes impale, so all final dps is eventually doubled through the impale mechanic. We achieve the over-the-top dps by min maxing and making choices like using an Assassin's Mark ring that grants us power charges and boosts the damage that the cursed enemies take, onslaught boots and enchants like additional attack speed if killed recently, and sustained frenzy charges from blood rage and the charging offensive node on the passive tree.
Defense: At least 5K HP, tons of leech from the Gladiator's Perseverance wheel on the passive tree (due to the absurd amounts of damage we deal), sustained endurance charges through 3 different methods (endurance charge on melee stun linked to leap slam, charging offensive node, inexorable wheel), armour, flasks, general movement using our utility skill and movement speed.
Weapons:
- Dual wield any foils with at least 400dps for this type of damage with hits cant be evaded. My current swords are 429 and 425 dps respectively with hits cant be evaded (saves us from wasting the tree on accuracy nodes to maximize the dps potential of every node we take)
Helmet:
- Abyssus.
Armour:
- BiS is a crafted astral plate with maim and -total mana cost and high life. Any typical melee chest unique will also work, Carcass Jack, Belly, etc.
Rings:
- Get all your resists here and have life on both. At least one ring must have -mana cost. BiS is one -total mana cost ring along with a Assasin's Mark ring (what I'm currently wearing)
Amulet:
- Get resists and life. BiS would be a rare with flat phys/life/resists.
Jewels:
- Any rare that grants attack speed/global phys/crit chance, etc and life (try to aim for 7% life, since we dont take much life from tree and we want at least 5k total life). BiS would be a watchers eye with +2 impale.
Gloves:
- Life/Resists/Armour.
Boots:
- Prioritize life. Kaoms Roots is great. A good rare with life/resists is BiS. I'm currently wearing legacy onslaught boots with T1 life and some resists.
NOTE: The PoB will show something like 14 mil dps. You then might be asking, where does 28mil dps come from? PoB does not calculate impale. Impale effectively doubles your damage with 100% chance and enough impale effect, hence over 25 million true dps. Use the dps calculator listed above to calculate impale dps. My impale effectiveness is also 108. (Make a copy of the impale dps calculator document to be able to edit it)
