Starbreeze have bought back the rights to for the game series "Pay Day". specifically "Pay Day 2" from publisher 505 Games.

Starbreeze is a game publisher of all sorts and own Overkill Software which devloped the Payday series.

So would make sense to buy a game which they already devlop by Overkill Software

In 2012, Starbreeze bought "Overkill Software" which developed Pay Day 2.

As 505 Games owned part of Payday, Starbreeze wanted to buy it back.

505 Games sold Payday to Starbreeze for around $30 million dollars.
