Wonder how to configure a game controller for Final Fantasy XI on PC? Find a quick guide about how you can add a game pad, like an Xbox 360 controller, for Final Fantasy XI Online.
I made this tutorial with the hope that, compared to me, you are thinking of setting up your game instance properly versus going in the dark and learn things as it comes.

The instructions are overall pretty simple:
1. Find the folder where you installed Final Fantasy XI
2. Find a folder named "Tools" / "ToolsEU" / "ToolsUS" depending on your region
3. Launch "FFXiPadController.exe"
4. Once the window open, you can decide on changing each value yourself, or use the Predefined Setups - I personally have an Xbox 360 controller, so I used the XInput predefined setup
5. Note that Final Fantasy XI is using the camera left movement to be on the right, and the camera right movement to be on the left, so I personally changed that (damn you more recent games that teaches us a new way to control a camera!)
