Crytek has upped their attention to detail in presentation and dropped the worst parts of Far Cry’s story. The multiplayer, while probably not enough to draw players away from their favorites, is also worth the time. Most probably you've seen a meme "WAT", and this game is really WAT and not what.
I must clarify a bit, this game looks amazing even now and back in 2007 we thought that we seen the face of god. However when it comes to basic game functionality it's seriously lacking.
This game lacks real structure, the collision detection is a mess ( I think if you are running this game in dx 10 the collision detection somehow is much worse than dx 9), The game is buggy and very poorly optimized, the game is misleading it might tell you to do something else but in reality you must do completely different thing.
Overall because of it's graphics it was an interesting experience to playthrough.
So if you want to experience most impressive video game graphics leap of 21st century you should play this game otherwise the game mechanics isn't good.
One more thing I couldn't even finish this game with DX10, the game crashes with DX10 in the last mission so in last mission you need to use DX9
