Hail and well met! As players and GMs, we often revel at rolling the dice in our Dungeons & Dragons games. But should we? The more we roll the dice, the more we dare the dice to turn up a fail state. It might seem counter-intuitive but, as a player, I try to avoid rolling the dice whenever I can and mitigate those dice whenever I can't. No dice rolling generally means that I'm getting to do what I want to do and that's a win!
