FATHOMS 40 realistically simulates the operations of a German U-Boat during the last days of World War II (1942-1944).

Your score is the total number of sinkings in three sorties. The Apple version required two people, one to pilot the submarine and one to shoot the torpedoes. The PC88 version is good to play alone.
The response time is poor, and there are bugs such as forced termination when you get a high score, and the left-right correspondence of the cursor keys in strategic mode is reversed, so this port is not very good. The difficulty level is lower than the Apple version.

R: Reloads Torpedoes
CTRL+E: Escape to Strategic Mode (When All Ships Are Off Sonar Screen)
G: Fires Torpedoes (Red Button for Apple II)
UP and DOWN ARROWS: Controls Periscope Direction (Joystick for Apple II)

DAMAGE REPORTS:
