And I have to say- holy crap. The HD upscaling is stunning! [EDIT: YouTube video compression techniques have raped the quality of this video a bit so that kinda sucks.] The past couple of nights I've played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rescue-Palooza! (a fan-made sidescoller-beat 'em up using the just updated on July 2nd; if you haven't tried it and were a fan of their previous games give it a try, it rocks) multiplayer online through Parsec (https://parsecgaming.com/) with a friend who moved to Texas a few years back while we thought about what else we could spend our time playing.

He asked if his PC was capable of emulating PS2 (he has a Radeon RX 570; 4GB variant). Which got me to questioning once again what my favorite PS2 games were. Of course I was shooting for multiplayer and without a doubt, Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks was the first to come to mind. But now I've found myself loading up my Steam dashboard with old favorites, grabbing images and taking screenshots to make banner icons for each title in Photoshop. I was pretty satisfied with how the *Run Like Hell* banner turned out considering the original image came from a really low resolution box shot I took with a basic point and click phone camera. I'm surprised how seamless it is to set up PCSX2 nowadays. The wireless XBox 360 controller is already set up and it didn't take much messing around to get the best results from my graphics plugin. I'm running on a 12gb Titan X so the improvement over console is astonishing. And of course, I can always copy my virtual memory cards if I ever feel the need to play from the original console hard drive on an old CRT or capturing through my capture card. I've also made a controller profile through Controller Companion (https://store.steampowered.com/app/367670/Controller_Companion/) to create savestates, load states, exit instantly or open task manager via button combinations downloadable through the Steam Workshop (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1792388658) for anyone looking to emulate the same way as I am.

So this video starts off with gameplay footage of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, then Gregory Horror Show then up to the first chapter in Run Like Hell. I don't figure anyone will watch it all the way through and I don't expect anyone to. This was only a test to see how well they could run performance-wise as well as an HD quality test. Of course with Run Like Hell, I hadn't played it in years and forgot mostly everything that happened in it so I kept playing and figured what the hell, why not upload it. There is no commentary and most of the settings (other than turning antialiasing all the way up + shaders) are all stock.

Oh, and if you find this boring, skip ahead to 37:25 for a Run Like Hell spoiler that is one of the best parts of this cheesy little morsel. And 32:33 for a little unintentional humor from the same game.
