Penn State quarterback Drew Allar gets emotional following 20-12 loss to Ohio State
Penn State quarterback Drew Allar suffered the first loss of his career Saturday, as the Nittany Lions were unable to get the job done in Columbus, losing to Ohio State 20-12.
A former five-star player, the pressure on Allar's shoulders since becoming the starting quarterback is on a level few players have felt during the James Franklin era.
Up until this game, Allar has passed each test, but this was the one that was always going to matter the most.
The result wasn't one he'll want to remember, as the Medina, Ohio, native completed just 18 of 42 attempts for 191 yards. Penn State's offense didn't score a touchdown until the final minute of the game. By then, the Buckeyes were already up two scores.
As he's done in each of his first six games, Allar met with the media following the game and answered questions for nearly 10 minutes. However, this one clearly impacted him, as he fought back tears answering questions.
