We proceed further up, and holding on to my encounter manipulations since Part 7 finally pays off, as I steal some Carbon Bangle's and Hardedges from the enemies on the 67th and 68th floors. We then rescue Aerith, recruit Red XIII, and because I need to boost Barret's affection score, I assigned him the task of protecting Aerith (Barret +2). After defeating a fairly tricky boss fight with absolutely no protection against the Poison Status, I formed a party consisting of Barret and Red XIII (Barret +2). Then, I made my way back down to the 64th Floor where I am finally free to save and power off.
