We learn of Barret's past history with the residence of North Corel, and then board the trolley up to the Gold Saucer, perhaps the least probable amusement park in the history of fiction. Thanks to my fiscal spending up to this point, I was able to scrounge up the 30,000 Gil, plus extra for the Gold Saucer Lifetime pass plus some minigames. Barret leaves the party, but not before performing a trick to nab me a pair of free MP Plus Materia.

I chose to bring Yuffie along (+2), then changed my mind and picked Tifa since I found her dialogue options here to be the best out of everyone. Note that only the first person you talk to can gain or lose affection points. Talk to a second or third person, and the points will remain unchanged.

I headed off for the Chocobo Races. And though it took me a couple of tries, I was able to win a prize worth 150 GP, and that was after buying just a single ticket. Then, I headed over to the Speed Square, talked with Dio, and then I took a tour of the rest of the Gold Saucer, running into Cait Sith at the Wonder Square, got my fortune read at the Crystal Fortune Machine, and played the G-Bike and Mog House minigames, getting the 10k points in the former and piling on the GP.

The third Turtles' Paradise Flyer can be found at the Haunted House Square.

Aerith: 51
Tifa: 51
Yuffie: 39
Barret: 43
