Perlan Glider project may fly to the edge of the atmosphere

The Perlan Glider is set to make some record-breaking flights. Researchers and pilots think using updrafts near tall mountain ranges could push the lightweight aircraft to altitudes near 90,000 feet - three times as high as jetliners fly - and do it without any engine power!
But in order to safely fly that high, the Perlan glider needs some special equipment. DT's Drew Prindle has the details.
