Messiah can be itemized into one of the strongest armors for female characters (250 def and reduce magic damage), but there are other alternatives in-game so don't buy DLC just for that.
Messiah Picaro can be itemized into Insta-Heal skill card (recover from status ailments after 1 turn) which is useful but I personally never use.
Their exclusive skill is Oratorio (Full Party Heal and Remove Debuffs). It costs a lot of SP (38), so I think Mediarahan is better as 99% of the time you only need the healing. I think Oratorio is actually worse than Salvation as you have more situations where you need healing+status clear than healing+debuff clear.
They also start at a very high level, which means they're difficult to level up at the beginning and only learn other skills at the end of the game. They're also not good for min maxing as they have lots of wasted points (too spread out).
